Name of God: El-Roi — “The God Who Sees Me” (Genesis 16:13)

There is something deeply comforting about knowing that God doesn’t just notice us… He sees us.

He sees the things we carry quietly. He sees the moments we hold our breath just to get through the day. He sees the ache beneath our smile, the hope we’re trying to hold onto, and the battles no one else knows about.

Just like Hagar in the wilderness, He meets us in the very places we feel unseen, overwhelmed, or forgotten. And with tenderness, He whispers the same truth:

“I see you. I know you. I am with you.”

Today, let this name wash over your heart like fresh water: El-Roi: the God who sees your story, your tears, your strength, your prayers, your waiting, your longing… all of it.
You are never hidden from His love. You are never overlooked. You are never alone.

May your heart rest in the God who sees you fully and loves you completely.

We’re incredibly honored to welcome Jenny as our speaker for our very first Pastors’ Wives Retreat in 2026.

Here’s a glimpse into her heart and voice:

“Jenny, formerly a pastor’s wife for over 20 years, is a Jesus-first encourager who loves opening Scripture so women can hear the Father’s heart, rest in their identity, and walk with renewed courage. With a warm, pastoral tone and practical application, she points us back to the simple beauty of belonging to Him. We’re honored to have her with us for our first retreat in 2026, Chosen—Resting in His Presence.”

Becoming the Alabaster Heart Woman™

Scripture tells of women who came to Jesus carrying alabaster jars, each one bringing her worship, her story, and her love poured out before Him.

Scripture
Luke 7:36–50, The Forgiven Woman
Jesus SAW her repentance and called her forgiven.

Mark 14:3–9, The Woman at Bethany
Jesus SAW her sacrifice and called it beautiful.

John 12:1–8, Mary of Bethany
Jesus SAW her friendship and received it as worship.

Together, these moments reveal one heart, women who came to Jesus just as they were. They came to Him carrying what was precious, broke open what was costly, and poured it out in love, with the fragrance of their worship filling the room.

Jesus saw the beauty in every offering of love.

Their stories still speak to us today because the Alabaster Heart Woman™ isn’t only the woman in history, she is every woman who says “yes” to Jesus with her whole heart.

She is each of us who has found ourselves loving Him through the ache of broken places and the beauty of grace restored, and her story invites us to see ourselves within it.

Over the next several weeks, we invite you to join us as we unveil the heart of the Alabaster Heart Woman™.

Each day, we’ll pause to see how her story mirrors ours,
where devotion begins,
where freedom is found, and
where love becomes a legacy.

Jehovah Nissi — The Lord Is My Banner

This name appears in Exodus 17, a moment when Israel was weary, vulnerable, and in the middle of battle. Moses lifted up his hands and as his hands were raised, Israel prevailed.

Moses raised staff became a symbol of
🌿God’s covering,
🌿God’s victory, and
🌿God’s presence.

So, Moses named that place, Jehovah Nissi, the Lord is my Banner.

He is the same God
🌿who goes before you.
🌿who covers you.
🌿who fights for you.

His banner over you is not shame.
His banner over you is Love.

Yes, life has its fair share of “battles” that will require courage. But you are not uncovered. You are not standing alone. And you certainly are not undefended.

Lift your eyes, sweet friend,
the banner over your life is the Lord Himself.💛

There’s a kind of surrender that isn’t passive or weak, it’s holy.

It’s the moment we stop trying to qualify ourselves and remember God never asked for perfection…only a yielded heart.

Some of the most powerful things God has done through ordinary women in Scripture & throughout history didn’t come from polished resumes, big platforms, or flawless confidence, they came from a willing, surrendered heart.

A surrendered heart is a listening heart.
It’s the heart that trusts His voice over our own insecurity. The heart that places everything, the known and unknown, before the King who sees the end from the beginning.

It’s not about being good enough. It’s about trust and saying, “Here I am, Lord. I’m Yours.”
In case you need these reminders today,

🌿God is faithful.
🌿He is present.
🌿He is steadfast.
🌿He is kind.
🌿He is sovereign.

🌿He knows the end from the beginning.
🌿He knows the parts of your story you don’t yet understand.
🌿He knows the weight you are trying to carry alone.

You are not alone.
Every piece of your story, every tear…

🌿He sees you.
🌿He is holding you and
🌿He is working all things out.

So today, I encourage you to bring Him your plans, your dreams, your fears, and your unknowns. Lay it all at His feet today, trusting that He has gone before you and watch how He meets you there.

You are held.
❤️Fully known.
❤️Fully loved.
❤️Fully seen.

He truly is worthy of it all.

Today, we are introducing a woman who carries the heartbeat of our ministry:

The Alabaster Heart Woman™

She is the woman who pours out what is costly at the feet of Jesus, not to impress a room, not to be seen, but because she has encountered the One who changed everything.

She is the picture we see in Luke 7 and John 12, women who dared to break open their most costly offering, because nothing was more valuable to them than the presence of Jesus.

She is the one who knows what it means to be forgiven much…
and therefore she loves much.

🌿Her offering wasn’t polished… it was honest.
🌿Her worship wasn’t for applause… it was for Jesus alone.
🌿She shows us that surrender is not weakness...it is the fragrance of a heart wholly His.
